Olney Multisports has a World Champion

Juliette Minter raced to victory on Saturday 4th September at the World Duathlon Championships in Edinburgh. Facing some stiff competition, Juliette produced an outstanding performance, beating her nearest rival by nearly 5 minutes and in doing so, she not only recorded the fastest bike time in her age group but the fastest 2 runs too. The only cyclist to pass her was from the age group below - and she was in the GB cycle team at Sydney, so not a surprise really!

The 2010 season is underway for Olney Multisport. With more participants, new racing and training kit and even greater objectives and challenges, it should prove to be the best yet. Early news is encouraging with Juliette Minter and Phil Holland both setting club records at the National Duathlon Championships on their way to qualifying for the World Duathlon Champs in Edinburgh in September. JC has already qualified and hopefully Henry Catchpole will join them soon. Excellent work from both Phil Holland and Juliette Minter at the Elite National Duathlon Championships, especially on their first run times. Juliette's was only 8 seconds outside of her own Ladies Club Record for 5km and Phil set a new 5km Club Record by 2 seconds! Phil's first run was only 39 seconds off the pace set by winner Tim Don. The sprint triathlon season is only a few short weeks away too. Good luck to all those participating.
