OR 5k Challenge

Are you ready for the next challenge?

The 5k challenge begins this Monday (13th) and runs for two weeks. The challenge is split into two parts, and the first is to run the route below. This challenge is not all about speed but just about running your best effort. If you are injured why not turn it into a brisk hike? If you cannot get to Emberton then find your own route (preferably a loop) and run that instead.

The second part of the challenge will be announced on Sunday evening (19th) so you need to get your first run in the books by then.

For those of you who are not sure of the route, here some instructions

The route begins at the line where the ramp down into the park meets the main road around the park. Then stay on the road until the main entrance to the caravan park, where you then run through the gate and head towards the bridle path out the back. From there remain on the track until you come to the black container in the third field. Make sure you go round this keeping to the path turning left running all the way down until you hit the right turn to climb up to the allotments in Emberton. From here you follow the track and rejoin the rod and run through the village before reentering the park and hitting the final straight towards Olney!. The finish will be a little before the ramp near the edge of the cut-through for Otter lake. But just stop you watch when you hit 5K!
