Every year Olney Runners members compete in a 7km handicap race around Emberton Lake. Competitors are set off according to ability with start times calculated based on previous races or timed training runs around Olney.

Trophies are presented for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. The post-race drinks provide a sociable conclusion to the year and an opportunity to present the much coveted Olney Runners' Runner of the Year trophy, voted for by club members.

This year our handicap race will be held on Sunday 21st September 2008.
